I suppose the only thing more frightening than your 20 year school reunion is your 30th, then your 40th, and then so on until it’s the last one standing :p
This was the artwork that I put together for our 20 year school reunion invitation.
It was all based around the opening track of The Beatles most famous album, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The track begins with Paul McCartney snarling, “It was 20 years ago today”.
That being the case it was fairly clear that I was going to have to take our final year school photograph and weave it into the iconic Peter Blake cover art.
This was no mean feat given that I had to seamlessly replace the Beatles and the cavalcade of celebrities, together with recreating the drum head artwork, as well as cloning the floral display to read, “VCE 1989”.
