Adrian Elton was ‘that kid’ everyone turned to when it came time to embellish school assignments, or to draw something amusing and risqué.

Even before music had grabbed him by the collar and whispered sweet nothings in his ear, drawing was his first love.

Inspired by Herge's Tintin, Uderzo's Asterix and Disney's vintage animations, Adrian spent 10,000 hours (and then some) feverishly sketching friends, family and teachers - transforming text books and folders into 'gardens of earthly delight'.

From the perspective of now, it was an incredible bootcamp, learning the fundamentals of composition, layout and colour - at a time when the only tools available to us were fistfuls of Derwents and piles of scrap paper.
